SAMe Glucosamine Hyaluronic Acid Vitamin D3
> SAMe:

Clinical studies, involving thousands of participants, indicate the many benefits SAMe has to offer, which can include: production of proteoglycans essential to joint lubrication, maintaining youthful spring of joints, and promoting overall joint comfort.

Clinical Research: In 2002, the Agency for Healthcare, Research, and Quality, a division of the US Government conducted a meta-analysis of evaluating the efficacy of SAMe. One large randomized clinical trial showed an effect size in favor of SAMe compared to placebo, thus demonstrating a decrease in the pain of osteoarthritis. [1]

> Glucosamine:

May help produce gycoaminoglycans, molecules essential for cartilage and connective tissue support, and is considered critical for optimal joint mobility and flexibility.

Clinical Research: In a double-blind placebo controlled clinical study reported in the June 2001 issue of Lancet, researchers concluded that the long-term combined structure-modifying and symptom-modifying effects of Glucosamine suggest that it could be a disease modifying agent in osteoarthritis. [2]

> Hyaluronic Acid:
Hyaluronic Acid is an essential building block in joint fluid, which lubricates the joints and acts as a shock absorber by cushioning the joints.

Clinical Research: In 2007, Researchers in Florida conducted a randomized, double-blind placebo controlled clinical study to evaluate the effect of dietary supplementation with hyaluronic acid on pain and quality of life in subjects with osteoarthritis of the knee. The results showed that daily supplementation with HA, appears to be effective in subjects with knee osteoarthritis for decreasing pain, improving physical function, and enhancing several aspects of quality of life. [3]

> Vitamin D3:

Promotes the absorption of calcium essential to bone health. It also binds to receptors in a host of vulnerable tissues-including joints affected by arthritis, and works to keep these tissues healthy.
